Avalanche Bury villages in Afghanistan, 47 Dead

KABUL–Afghanistan officials: MICOM refers to the number of victims were killed by an avalanche buried a village in the northeast of the country up to 47 people.
Avalanche on Sunday (4/3) took place in a village of 200 people in Badakhshan Province. Rescue teams dig out snow still continued to search for survivors and the bodies of the victims were killed.
Mohammad Daim Kakar, the officials said the rescue team was hoping there are still victims who are still alive but up to now the 47 people certainly died. Kakar is the Director of the Afghanistan National Disaster Management Agency. (AP/OL-12)
